The Type Rating Course at Captain Aviation Academy is crafted to turn aspiring pilots into highly qualified professionals, equipped with the specific licenses and ratings required to operate a particular type of aircraft. This specialized training ensures that pilots meet the exacting standards necessary for safely and efficiently handling complex and advanced aircraft.

About our Airbus A320 Type Rating

Choosing an Airbus A320 Type Rating is a strategic move to elevate your career and stay competitive in the airline industry. The Airbus A320 is the aircraft of choice for many airlines in India, dominating the skies and setting industry standards. Globally, the A320 family surpassed its main competitor, the Boeing 737, in October 2019, becoming the top-selling single-aisle commercial airliner. With over 8,500 A320s already in service and an additional 6,000 on firm order, this aircraft remains the backbone of fleets worldwide. In India, airlines are set to receive one new Airbus each week, making the A320 Type Rating a valuable asset for aspiring airline pilots.

Comprehensive A320 Type Rating Program Aligned with DGCA India Regulations

Our A320 Type Rating program, fully compliant with DGCA India regulations, includes essential Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) and Jet Orientation Course (JOC) training, ensuring you’re prepared for commercial airline operations.

Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC)
In commercial aviation, mastering multi-crew operations is crucial. Our MCC course equips you with essential skills in teamwork, decision-making, checklist usage, and mutual support, all key to handling both normal and emergency operations. Training takes place on an A320 Fixed Base Simulator, offering a realistic experience in aircraft systems and piloting dynamics.

Jet Orientation Course (JOC)
Transitioning to jet engine operations from piston engines is a vital step. The JOC develops your handling skills, understanding of jet engine characteristics, and situational awareness needed to operate jets effectively. Many airlines worldwide require JOC as part of their selection criteria.

With our A320 Type Rating, inclusive of MCC and JOC, you’ll be fully equipped to step confidently into a career in commercial aviation.
