The R.T.R. (A) license, or Radio Telephony Restricted (Aeronautical), is a professional license of international standard, adhering to the general guidelines set forth under International Radio Regulations. This license is essential for pilots and air traffic controllers, enabling them to effectively communicate with ground stations and other aircraft.

Exam Details:

  • RTR (A) Part-1:

    • Marks: 100
    • Duration: 25 minutes
    • Format: Written
    • Content: Answer five questions based on various routine and emergency situations that can arise during aircraft handling.
    • Requirement: Clear this exam to move to Part 2
 
  • RTR (A) Part-2:

    • Marks: 100
    • Format: Oral (Vaiva)
    • Conducted by: Members of DGCA, AAI & WPC officials
    • Content: Covers diverse topics related to aviation radio communication
 

Course Duration:

  • 20 Days Regular Batch: Intensive training to prepare for both parts of the RTR (A) exam.
